About Concile

Concile is an open-source and self-hosted realtime backend designed for developers who want to build live applications using a single backend process. It includes a database, live queries, authentication, file storage, cron jobs, and a dashboard, all packed into one binary. Concile operates without a cloud service, providing complete control over your backend deploying process.

Users write their entire backend logic in TypeScript, defining tables, mutations, and queries that are automatically kept live on clients via real-time subscriptions. The system tracks query results and only pushes updates when data changes affect the query output, simplifying client logic. A built-in dashboard lets developers watch data changes live without needing refreshes.

Main features include live queries that stay updated, support for thousands of live subscribers, a scheduler for cron and durable jobs, built-in sign-in authentication, file storage on disk or S3, and extendable core components like authorization and notifications. Concile supports SQLite and PostgreSQL currently, with planned extensibility.
