Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
DailyLaunch is a directory where makers list and launch their software products. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the site, sign in or submit a product, what we do with it and the choices you have. "We" means the team that runs DailyLaunch.
2. What we collect
- When you submit a product: your X handle if you add one, and the listing itself (website, name, tagline, description, category, pricing, tags, logo and screenshots). We also note the language of the page you used, so our emails reach you in that language.
- When you sign in: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email with us. Sign-in codes are stored scrambled (hashed), expire after 10 minutes and work only once.
- When you buy Premium: Polar handles the payment. We receive the order reference and whether it was paid. We never see or store your card details.
- When you comment: your comment and when you posted it, linked to your account.
- When you browse: like most websites, our servers record basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you request. We use it to keep the site running and to stop abuse, for example by limiting how often sign-in codes can be requested. We also count visits to product pages and clicks through to products' websites, as daily totals that don't identify you.
3. What is public
Once a product is approved and launched, its listing is public: name, tagline, description, logo, screenshots, website link, category, pricing and tags. Your email address and X handle are never shown on the site. Until a product is approved, its logo and screenshots stay in private storage. Comments you post on product pages are public too, with your name.
4. How we use your information
- to review your submission and publish it once it is approved;
- to email you sign-in codes and news about your submission: approved, live, or not accepted and why;
- to process Premium payments;
- to check that free launches keep our badge on their website;
- to show makers how many people view their product and go on to its website (totals only);
- to keep DailyLaunch secure and free of spam and abuse;
- to answer you when you contact us.
We do not sell your information and we do not show ads.
5. AI features
Two features send data to OpenAI through its API:
- Fill with AI on the submit page sends the text of your product's website to OpenAI, which drafts your listing from it.
- When we cannot accept a submission, we may use AI to help word our message to you. That sends your listing and our draft reason to OpenAI.
OpenAI processes this data only to return the result. Under OpenAI's API terms, it is not used to train their models.
6. Visits to your website
For Fill with AI and to check for our badge, our server opens the website you submitted, the same way a visitor would. It only reads the public page. Free launches are checked regularly for as long as they are listed.
7. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the providers that help us run DailyLaunch, and only what each one needs:
- our hosting provider, which stores the site and its data;
- our email provider, which delivers sign-in codes and emails about your submission;
- Polar, for Premium payments;
- OpenAI, for the AI features above;
- Telegram, which alerts our team about new submissions (the product details and your email address);
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect DailyLaunch and its users from fraud and abuse.
8. How long we keep it
- Your account stays until you delete it from your settings.
- A submission stays while it is listed. Submissions we did not accept are kept so you can fix and resubmit them. Ask us and we will delete a submission, live or not.
- Sign-in codes are deleted once used or after 10 minutes.
- Your comments stay until you delete them, or your account.
- Server logs are kept for a limited time. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires, by Polar.
9. Your rights
You can see and correct most of your information yourself: edit your listings from your dashboard and your profile from your settings, where you can also delete your account. Deleting your account does not remove your listings from the directory; ask us if you want them removed as well.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may also have the right to get a copy of your data, to have it deleted, or to object to how we use it. Email and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), keep uploads in private storage until a product is approved, store sign-in codes only in hashed form and limit sign-in attempts. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects it.
11. International transfers
Our providers may process your information outside your country, including in the United States. When they do, they are bound by data protection terms that keep it protected.
12. Children
DailyLaunch is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as DailyLaunch changes, and change the date at the top. If a change matters for you, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
