Yap Voice Typing

Yap Voice Typing is a free browser extension for voice typing. Click into any text box on the web, press Alt+Shift+Y (or click the Yap icon) and talk. Your words are typed where the cursor is, in email, search, chat, notes and documents. Speech recognition runs inside your browser with OpenAI's Whisper model, so your voice is never uploaded: there is no server, no account and no analytics. It handles English and 99 other languages, adds capitals and punctuation, and removes filler words. It works offline after a one-time download of about 80 MB. Yap is made by O-mega Enterprise Inc. The same speech engine powers Yap dictation for Mac and Windows, and the extension is free to install from the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons.
