DailyLaunch vs BetaList

BetaList is paid-only and selects startups for their design and novelty. DailyLaunch has a free launch and lists any real, honest product, without judging either.

The short answer

BetaList is a strong choice before you launch: it features pre-launch and recently launched startups, and its "Visit Site" link is dofollow. Since it stopped offering free submissions, every submission is paid, and the price only appears at the end of its submission form. Startups are selected for "a clear value proposition, a good design, and an innovative idea", and if yours is not selected, you get a full refund. DailyLaunch takes a different approach: Free Launch costs nothing (you add our badge to your site), Premium is $19 once, and we do not judge quality, design or how new the idea is: if your product is real, described honestly and allowed, it gets listed. One thing BetaList does that we do not: it welcomes pre-launch startups, while DailyLaunch lists products people can already use.

Pricing

DailyLaunch

Free Launch costs $0: once approved, your product goes live the Monday after you submit, spends a week in Latest launches and keeps a permanent page with a dofollow link to your website. In return, you add our badge to your site. Premium is $19 once per product, with no subscription: it is reviewed ahead of the free queue, featured on the home page as soon as it is approved, and needs no badge.

BetaList

BetaList used to offer free submissions, but all submissions now require payment. The price and the expected timeline are shown when you choose a plan in its submission form, and some plans include its newsletter. If your startup is not selected, the payment is refunded automatically.

In detail

Who gets listed

DailyLaunch
Any software product people can use, as long as it is real, honest and allowed (see our listing rules). We do not judge quality, design, taste or novelty.
BetaList
Pre-launch and recently launched startups that BetaList selects for a clear value proposition, a good design and an innovative idea. It also requires your own domain: free hosting subdomains (like vercel.app) and direct app store links are not accepted.

If your product is still a waitlist, BetaList is built for you. If it is live and you want to be listed without a design or novelty bar, DailyLaunch is.

Price

DailyLaunch
Free Launch costs nothing; you add our badge to your website. Premium is $19 once and needs no badge.
BetaList
Every submission is paid. The price is shown only at the end of the submission form, and the plan you pick decides the timeline and whether you appear in the newsletter.

For a free launch, or a low price published up front, DailyLaunch.

The link to your website

DailyLaunch
A permanent product page with a dofollow link to your website.
BetaList
A listing with a dofollow "Visit Site" button, and possibly newsletter exposure, depending on the plan.

Both give you a followed link. BetaList adds an audience of early adopters; DailyLaunch gives you a free way to get it.

Questions

Is BetaList free?
Not anymore. BetaList says all submissions are now paid, with the price shown in its submission form. DailyLaunch has a free launch (with our badge on your site) and a $19 Premium option.
Is DailyLaunch a good BetaList alternative?
For a live product, yes: it is free or $19, the go-live date is known, and we list any real, honest product. For a pre-launch waitlist, BetaList is the better fit.
Are BetaList links dofollow?
Yes. BetaList states that the "Visit Site" button on a featured listing is a do-follow link. Links from launched products on DailyLaunch are dofollow too.
What happens if BetaList rejects my startup?
BetaList says you receive a full refund automatically. On DailyLaunch, a rejected free submission costs nothing: you get the reason by email, and you can fix your listing and resubmit.
